Roma

What an amazing city! It is so rich with history. We really enjoyed our time here, and look forward to getting back there this Fall. My first stop will be the pizza place I have highlighted below. The city has so much to offer, you could spend a week there. The architecture is stunning!

ACCOMMODATION

For this trip, we had two additional guest, so we did an AirBnB. The AirBnB was great, minus the steep flight of stairs. If you don't mind the stairs, I would highly recommend it! The host left us a lot of great Italian treats. It was on a quiet street, but still walkable to so much!

FOOD

Roscioli | Probably the best pizza I have ever had, and it didn't have cheese. I know, I know. Hear me out...This restaurant was a stop on the food tour. The line was down the street. The pizza is THAT good!! My children even inhaled it. They left me two small bites. Those two small bites were DELICIOUS!!!

Gelateria Del Viale | This gelateria was great! Its small, but full of amazing gelato. It was another stop on our food tour worth visiting. I LOVED the pistachio, as did Laney. She has really become a gelato connoisseur. American Breakfast | We ate here twice, because my MIL and Aunt kept asking for eggs, everywhere we went. They really wanted eggs for breakfast!! This place was great! If you want a breakfast which you are used to, this place is for you.

Tonnarello | We had really, really yummy bites of food here. Definitely worth a stop, if you are near it.

Filetti di Baccala | If you love fish, this place is for you! The fried fish is life changing!!

ACTIVITIES

Food Tour | We did a food tour during our stay. It was advertised as kid-friendly, but I didn't find it to be. There were several stops on the tour we really liked. I have highlighted them, above.

Coliseum Tour | HIGHLY recommend this tour. It was kid centered and fun for everyone. My girls LOVED it! Our guide was so patient and personable.

Trevi Fountain | Its breathtaking! I would definitely recommend going very early. It gets so crowded, so quick! Spanish Steps | I highly recommend visiting these. Bring a coffee, a gelato, or a snack. Find a nice spot, and people watch. It was very relaxing.

My children loved posing on the steps.

Gladiator School | We, unfortunately, did not have time for gladiator school. I wish, so badly we could have done it. I have heard amazing things about this experience. When we go back this Fall, we will definitely do this. Oppio Cafe | Coming here at night, and having a drink is a must do. The view of the coliseum at night, from this place, was magical.

Piazza Novana | This piazza is so beautiful. One of my favorite things to do in Italy, is sit in a piazza, have a drink, and people watch.

If you have been to Roma, what was your favorite thing? Did you find the food life changing, like me? :)
