In the past year, I have really enjoyed reading, again. Below are the books I have read recently, and my reviews.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo | 3.5 | There was a lot of hype around this book, but I did not love it. This book was really slow for me. I started this book in 2021, and it took me almost a year to get through it. I read a handful of books in between starting this one, and finishing it. (German Link)
The Perfect Marriage | 5 | This suspenseful book was full of twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong, again. A page turner, I could not put down. Highly recommend. (German Link)
It Ends With Us | 5 | This book was so so good! I have already pre-ordered It Starts With US. October cannot get here soon enough! If you have ever dealt with physical abuse, please be warned it could be triggering for you. (German Link)
Verity | 6 | I know it is supposed to be out of 5, but this book. Holy Moly. Colleen Hoover outdid herself with this one. I finished it, in about 3 days. I was brought to tears. I was happy. Ultimately, I was left gutted. It brought about all of the emotions. I need 2-3 more chapters, it just wasn't enough. I will read it again, it was that good! If you are a mother, there are parts that can be really, really hard to read. (German Link)
Ugly Love | 5 | I loved this book! It shows the depths of love, the good and the ugly. It shows how messy love can be. There are pretty graphic parts, so beware. It was another book, I could not put down. (German Link)
The Last Thing He Told Me | 4.5 | This book was a total mystery, with heart break and love. I really enjoyed it. A must read! (German Link)
Start Without Me | 5 | A light hearted funny read. Gary Janetti has such wit and humor, it is indescribable. It is a quick read; I read this on our flights to and from Scotland. I cackled a lot, with my children wondering what was wrong with me. If you haven't already, make sure you, also read Janetti's first book, Do You Mind If I Cancel. (German Link)
